Beautiful things
Relativity (You Tube video, silent, 1m13) is an art project by Drzach & Suchy. Facinating to watch, the secret of how it was done is revealed at the end of the video. Thanks to Neatorama for the viewing pleasure this morning.
More on that Beautiful waterfall I mentioned yesterday. Seems it's in Canal City Hakaata, a shopping and entertainemnet complex in Fukuoka Japan.
Things I actually use
Lifehacker reviewed FEBE today. FEBE is a firefox extension that backs up all of your existing installed Firefox extensions. The latest version has additional features that I'm looking forward to trying out. Automatic backup of extensions never use to be a big worry for me, then again, I never use to have so very many extensions to back up.
At work I use:
How to tap a phone line
From Boing Boing today, a link to Wired's how-to wiki's how to Tap a phone. The article is a very straight-forward guide on how to ... well, tap a phone. They don't get into the morality of it. And they link to the Art of Hacking when the topic of Beige Boxes comes up. Ah the good old days of freaking.
Song lyrics
This song came up on my playlist this morning. I'd not heard it in a while. My favorite line: "We don't believe in you controlling we That's point three". As strange as it sounds -- I really like rap. It's the new ballad; assuming of course, the artist has a tale to tell, speaks clearly, and is clever. According to wikipedia -- Herbaliser has a new album coming out this year: "Same as it never was". Looks like I have to go album shopping (there's a few on the wiki list that I don't have). Whever this comes up, I really miss Sam's. HMV's good - but really nothing compared to Same the Record man when you wanted to find an old album.
